Here is a short presentation by Professor Martin Seligman about his PERMA model (he isn’t using PEARM yet!)

→  EXPERIENCE, STEP TWO

One of the best ways to learn is to do. Let me show you how to put the learnings from this lesson into practice. Watch the video or read about it below!

IT’S CHALLENGE BY CHOICE.

Any positive steps you make are steps in the right direction. But if you really want to challenge yourself…

#1.  Each day this week take some time to do something just for the fun of it, some thing that will engage you and foster a state of flow?

#2.  Once this week set some time aside to identify a worthwhile goal that you can go after, something that will provide you with a sense of achievement when you attain it.

→  THINK, STEP THREE

What’s the Big Idea? Which of the five elements in PERMA are you doing well in? Which ones could you strengthen and how could you go about it? What could you do to improve them?

How did the challenges go? Did they give you a lift? What worked well and what could be even better next time?

→  SHARE, STEP FOUR
